Heritage Celebration a Huge Success!

Over 500 people attended our weekend Heritage Celebration on 12th and 13th July.

People from across our community and beyond joined us for a fun-filled weekend at Christ Church with so much to see and do, a great time was had by all.

All ages were invited to ‘have a go’ at stone carving, led by award winning stone carver Jem Hobbs

Mac McHugh from Great Panes Corsham was there to share his knowledge and skills in the art of stained-glass windows.

We were delighted to have the Bradford on Avon Millennium Embroidery on display this year. Many people took the time to appreciate this magnificent piece.

Metal Dreams mobile Blacksmith was a real hit with visitors, as Timothy Neville beautifully demonstrated his skills to all. Here he can be seen creating a bird feeder, which will be used in the churchyard.

Time Tots joined the Heritage Celebration for another year - with fun archaeological activities for children of all ages!

There were many displays inside the church too - with so much to Discover at Christ Church

The day was rounded off with a BBQ in the church yard - a wonderful end to a brilliant day

We are so grateful to our funders The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Bradford on Avon Preservation Trust, Pilgrim Trust, ChurchCare and community donors who together have made all of this possible. Thank you!
